Russian pharma market 2017: risks and growth prospects

Experts of IPT Group conducted a research of Russian pharma market in 2017. The Russian pharmaceutical industry is aimed at further growth.

The driver of its further growth remains the activity of localization of production in the Russian market (consequence of the implementation of the program "Pharma 2020"). During 2017-2018, market actors expect at least 5 major M&A deals, including those involving foreign companies.

Compared with the results of 2016, the size of pharma market in monetary terms is expected to increase by 6-7% in 2017 and by 9% in 2018. At the same time, according to industry experts, the growth in terms of units produced will occur annually at 4-6%.
